Guest Information

Club Attire

Members and their guests are requested to wear appropriate apparel at the Club. Country Club Casual is the preferred dress in the Sun Room, Terrapin Room, Gas Light, and Fairway Lounges. For Sunday dining, jackets are requested in the main dining room for gentlemen over 18 years of age and appropriate comparable attire for the ladies. Hats or caps for men are not appropriate on the main level of the Clubhouse. Bathing suits are not allowed in the Clubhouse. Golf shoes, unless designed for general wear as well, may only be worn on the lower level of the Clubhouse.

Our dress code requires shirts with collars, golf slacks, or appropriate length golf shorts (no cargo shorts or cargo pants with multiple pockets). Jeans and other denim clothing are not allowed. Shirt tails must always be tucked in, bill of hats forward, and gentlemen are required to remove hats while inside the clubhouse.


Guest Standards & Expectations

All guest charges are billed through your host member.

Purchases from our golf and tennis shop may be charged to your home club or charged to a credit card.

Tipping is acceptable at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club.

We do not have caddies, however an attendant in the bag drop-off area will assist you upon arrival.

Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club discourages the use of cell phones anywhere on the property. The discreet use of cell phones, for calling and texting, is permitted.

All indoor facilities at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club are smoke-free.

When driving a golf cart, please follow all directional signs, and use cart paths when designated to do so. The responsible operation of golf carts helps preserve the condition of our golf course. To maintain the playability of the golf course, please rake all bunkers, repair pitch marks on the greens, and fill divots with sand. An enjoyable round of golf at Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club should be completed in four hours or less. Please be ready to play at all times, pick-up if you are out of the hole, and putt continuously when appropriate. If your group is approached by a Club employee about the pace of play, please take all necessary actions to speed-up your play to keep up with the group in front of you.


Pool & Tennis Guests

Guests are admitted to the pool and/or tennis facilities with a member or listed family member, and will be charged a $10 guest fee per visit. Members are always responsible for the actions of their guests and must be present while guests are here. Babysitters will not be charged a guest fee.


Club Location & Directions

Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club is located approximately 60 miles northwest of Huntsville, AL, 115 miles southwest of Nashville, TN, and 165 miles southeast of Memphis, TN. We are located off Highway 72 North at 1000 Club Drive in Killen, Alabama. Once you turn into the gated entrance, drive to the end of Club Drive and you find the Clubhouse directly in front of you on the banks of Wilson Lake.
