Charity Tournaments
Turtle Point is proud to host many special event tournaments. We are the host to PGA Tour Professional Stewart Cink’s Healing Place Pro-Am. This event is preparing for its tenth year anniversary in 2012. We are also the host to a variety of charity events including Special Olympics, YMCA, FCA, and the John Mark Ivey Foundation.
Special Events and Outings
Each year Turtle Point hosts a full member tournament schedule as well as a few special events.
We have hosted the Alabama State Amateur five times, the Men’s SEC Golf Championship four times and the Southeastern Women’s Amateur Team Championship. We host both a men’s and women’s Dixie Section Pro-Member Tournament annually. Our Turtle Point Ladies Association coordinates a Ladies Invitational each summer. Currently, Turtle Point is scheduled to host the Alabama Golf Association’s Women’s Fourball Championship in 2012 and the Men’s Senior Fourball in 2013. For the first time, the University of North Alabama Men’s Golf team will be having the TVA-UNA Collegiate Golf Classic in the fall of 2011.
